A 19-year-old NEET aspirant in Maharashtra's Ahilyanagar district died by suicide at her home after scoring 166 marks in the NEET re-examination, short of the 177 cutoff.
Police said a note was found stating she was distressed and that her family should not be held responsible.
Her death comes amid a controversy over an alleged NEET-UG paper leak, following which Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned on July 25.
Other aspirants have also reportedly died by suicide, and families are demanding justice and action against those responsible for the leak.
