- Udupi District Collector Swarupa T.K. has directed officials to set up Bharat Jodo Yuva Sangha clubs across the district, following a Karnataka state government order.
- The clubs aim to encourage sports, culture, scientific thinking, fitness, skill development and social harmony among youth aged 16 to 35, and to involve them in local governance.
- Each club must have at least 100 members and a 15-member democratically elected executive committee, with mandatory representation for women and reserved categories.
