Delhi Police has broken up an interstate arms-smuggling racket, arresting two men and seizing six country-made pistols and 10 cartridges.
One suspect, Honey Nihal, was caught in Delhi after collecting weapons from Burhanpur in Madhya Pradesh, which he transported by bus.
The second suspect, Jatin Bhati, an alleged illegal arms dealer who was to receive the consignment, was arrested after a chase in Vasundhara, Uttar Pradesh.
Police say Bhati sourced weapons through carriers from Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh and supplied them in Delhi-NCR, and an FIR has been registered under the Arms Act.
