Karnataka's Chief Electoral Officer's Office announced that 4.16 crore enumeration forms have been collected and digitized under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter rolls as of Monday 6 pm.
Of the state's total 5.54 crore voters, 73.08 lakh have been classified as ASDO (untraceable, shifted, deceased, registered at multiple places, or other reasons).
Combining digitization and ASDO classification, processing of 4.89 crore forms is now complete, and only 64.64 lakh forms remain to be collected.
The exercise matters because it determines who ultimately remains on the electoral rolls.
