The Telangana Recognised School Managements Association, which represents nearly 11,500 budget private schools serving about 15 lakh students, has asked police for enhanced security.
In a representation to the Malkajgiri Commissioner of Police, the association alleged that activists, Joint Action Committees, student organisations, RTI activists and individuals posing as journalists have entered school premises, disrupted classes, demanded fee concessions, free admissions or money, and in some cases threatened managements and damaged property.
The association says these incidents have caused financial losses and raised safety concerns for students and staff.
It has urged police to strengthen security at schools and act strictly against unauthorised persons entering educational institutions.
