Cyberabad Traffic Police has extended traffic diversions around the Vaishali Nagar Railway Underpass in Hyderabad for another 14 days, from September 3 to 16.
The restrictions are in place to allow the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation to complete road widening and storm water drainage works, which aim to reduce frequent waterlogging at the narrow underpass during heavy rain and improve traffic flow.
The previous advisory period ended without the works being finished due to delays.
Several alternative routes through Hafeezpet, Kondapur and surrounding areas have been specified for commuters.
