Faculty members, employees and pensioners of Annamalai University staged a symbolic porridge-cooking protest in front of the university's administrative office, continuing a sit-in that began on August 19.
The Joint Action Committee says pensions have not been paid to more than 400 retired faculty members and employees for the past two years.
