Karnataka MLA D. Ravishankar has assured the Vishwakarma community that steps will be taken to hand over the civic amenity plots sanctioned to the community in Krishnarajanagara.
The assurance was given at the Vishwakarma Jayanti celebration organised by the taluk administration on Thursday.
The government had ordered that the community pay only 10 per cent of the ₹80 lakh due for the plots.
The MLA also said community members will be considered as party candidates in the upcoming municipal council elections.
