Maharashtra deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday laid the foundation stone for the Rs 200-crore Teen Hath Naka Traffic Improvement Project at Thane.
The MMRDA project involves a 2.76km elevated corridor, including a 1.9km U-shaped flyover and connecting links, aimed at decongesting one of Asia's busiest junctions.
Once complete, four of the seven major traffic movements at the junction will be signal-free.
