China opens new humanoid robot factory producing six units hourly

Through the Reader lens: Chinese company UBTECH Robotics has opened a highly automated 14,000 square meter factory in Liuzhou, designed to produce humanoid robots using other robots to handle components. The facility, developed in collaboration with Siemens Digital Industries Software, can produce a new robot approximately every 10 minutes and aims for an annual output of 10,000 units. Each robot undergoes a rigorous testing process, including a four-hour health check and 360-degree inspection, before being finalized. This development highlights China's rapid expansion of its domestic robotics manufacturing industry.
