Delhi Police have issued a special report defending their use of lathi-charge and tear gas against student protesters during an unauthorised march towards Parliament from Jantar Mantar.
According to the police, weeks of peaceful protest turned violent when some demonstrators breached multi-layered high-security barricades, damaged police vehicles, and pelted stones, injuring several officers.
