Tripura Director General of Police Anurag DhanKhar was found hanging in the washroom of his office at the police headquarters in Agartala on the morning of 20 July, about two hours after he arrived and told staff not to disturb him.
When he stopped answering calls and his door was found locked from inside, officers broke it open and found his body; doctors at GB Hospital declared him dead at 12:48 pm.
