A 26-year-old woman of Indian origin, Navneet Kaur, was shot dead in Toronto, Canada, on Friday morning.
According to a witness, a man approached her while she was walking, spoke to her, and then shot her before fleeing.
She died at the scene from her injuries, police said.
A 37-year-old Brampton resident of Indian origin, Saranjeet Singh, has been arrested in connection with the killing.
