Heavy rainfall lashed Delhi-NCR, including Gurugram, prompting the India Meteorological Department to issue a red alert with a nowcast warning in effect until 3:20 pm.
Flooded roads and waterlogging were reported across the city, slowing traffic on key stretches such as Sikanderpur, IFFCO Chowk, NH-48 towards Manesar, and the Sirhaul border.
Residential areas also saw flooded internal lanes, and a service road near Revenue Road in Sector 59 caved in, the sixth such cave-in in Gurugram this monsoon.
