Two young men died on Wednesday after drowning in Uttarakatte Lake near Shettihalli on the outskirts of Tumakuru.
The dead were identified as C. Darshan, 21, from K. Palasandra, and N. Arun, 20, from Kadaba in Gubbi taluk.
Both had completed ITI and B.Com courses and were working at a private company in the city.
Locals alerted the police after clothes, shoes and a bike were found on the lake bank, and fire brigade personnel recovered the bodies after a search till 6.30 pm in a lake with pits about 20 feet deep.
