- Steady rain in Chikkamagaluru, Mudigere and the Malnad parts of Hassan district has increased inflow into the Hemavathi reservoir at Gorur, which received 2.042 TMC of water in two days and now holds 28.022 TMC against a capacity of 37.103 TMC, with the water level at 2911.75 feet against the maximum of 2922 feet.
- Despite the good storage, reservoir engineers have said the available water will be used only for drinking purposes this year.
