The Delhi Development Authority is planning a bigger three-day international kite festival, Patang Utsav 2027, at Baansera.
The event is tentatively scheduled for January 15-17, 2027, and will bring together at least 100 kite flyers, including a minimum of 40 international and 60 national participants.
The international participants must represent at least 10 different countries, with no single country accounting for more than 20% of them.
Among the national flyers, a maximum of six can be from Delhi, and the remaining 54 will come from other states and Union Territories.
The festival will go beyond regular kite-flying, with workshops, student engagement, night-flying and LED kites, aiming to involve the public rather than only professional flyers.
