Karnataka's major reservoirs in the Krishna and Cauvery basins were monitored for daily water levels as of September 17.
The Alamatti reservoir in Vijayapura is nearly full at 519.44 metres against a maximum of 519.60 metres, releasing 13,692 cusecs.
KRS reservoir in Mandya stands at 105.70 feet with storage of 27.617 TMC and an inflow of 4,221 cusecs.
Kabini reservoir in Mysuru has an inflow of 924 cusecs, with storage reaching 10.94 TMC of its 19.52 TMC capacity.
Reservoir levels matter because they indicate water availability for irrigation and drinking across the state.
