A Charkop homemaker has filed a police complaint about gold worth Rs 15.3 lakh stolen from her apartment in November 2022, a theft she had not reported for four years because she suspected insider involvement.
Earlier this year, Rs 30 lakh worth of jewellery was stolen from her home, and police arrested her neighbour and recovered the jewellery; the neighbour allegedly committed the heist with her 'rakhi brother' who was out of work.
She now suspects the same neighbour was involved in the 2022 theft.
