Heavy rains washed away two sections of the Zai-Bordi-Revas-Reddy State Highway (State Highway No. 4) near Narpad-Ambewadi, disrupting traffic between Dahanu and Bordi in Palghar district.
The washed-out carriageway sections measured about 60 metres, with the total damaged stretch being 160 metres.
The Public Works Department began emergency repair work on the afternoon of July 24, completed one side of the road and culvert work by July 25, and finished the full restoration by the evening of July 26, restoring connectivity on the route.
