Former Rajya Sabha member Ieranna Kadadi said the central government has allocated about ₹3.15 lakh crore for the PM-Kisan scheme for the five years from 2026-27 to 2030-31, calling it a step to protect farmers' interests.
He said the scheme, launched in 2019, helps small and marginal farmers meet costs of seeds, fertiliser, pesticides and other farm expenses, and has brought relief during deficient monsoon rains.
He added that the scheme is transparent, with money sent directly to farmers' bank accounts without middlemen.
Eligible farmers have been urged to correct their documents and complete the e-KYC process promptly to receive benefits.
