An RTI response from the BMC shows that 99 of 236 suspected deaths from leptospirosis, malaria, and dengue in Mumbai between 2023 and 2025 were confirmed by the civic body's death audit committee.
Last year, 19 of 32 suspected leptospirosis deaths, eight of 16 suspected dengue deaths, and seven of 18 suspected malaria deaths were officially confirmed.
