He also criticised the Indiramma Housing Scheme, alleging that collecting a ₹100 application fee and ₹10,000 deposit from lakhs of applicants for only 7,680 flats amounts to exploiting the poor.
He added that hundreds of houses built under previous governments remain vacant and unallotted.
