A 19-year-old AISA student who took part in a protest against the NEET paper leak at Freedom Park in Bengaluru was allegedly assaulted near BEL Circle in Jalahalli on Tuesday night while walking home.
According to his complaint, two motorcycles carrying four unidentified men intercepted him, questioned him about demanding the Prime Minister's resignation, and attacked him with a wooden stick, injuring his leg.
The Jalahalli police have registered an FIR under BNS provisions relating to unlawful assembly, wrongful restraint, voluntarily causing hurt and criminal intimidation, and no arrests have been made yet.
