The Telangana High Court has ordered an NRI man to appear before it on August 12 along with his two minor daughters in a contempt case filed by his wife.
The wife, Shalini Boyamotla, alleged that her husband, Bharat Kumar Pogula, wilfully disobeyed a court order allowing her to speak with the children, who are in the USA and in his custody, through video calls.
The court, observing that 'Parental Alienation Syndrome' harms a child's psychology, issued notices directing his physical presence with the children.
The couple married in 2015, and the wife says she was prevented from taking the children to India and that her husband obstructed the video call access.
