The Karnataka government has cut the approval fee for obtaining a fresh A-Khata under single plot approval from 5% to 2% of a property's guidance value, with the concession valid until August 23, 2026.
This brings the fee on par with the reduced charge already offered for converting B-Khata properties to A-Khata, which was introduced for 100 days from May 15.
The move follows a proposal by the Greater Bengaluru Authority Commissioner after citizens objected to the confusing difference in fee structures.
