A man named Nagaraj, a resident of Ugrananapalli in Bagepalli taluk, was fatally stabbed with a dagger by a helmeted assailant outside the JKN Enterprises bar in Ghantamwarapalli village, Chikkaballapur district, while drinking with friends.
The attacker stabbed him on the back of his neck, cheek, and throat, and Nagaraj died at the spot from heavy bleeding despite friends' attempts to save him.
