A four-storey building in Geeta Colony, east Delhi, began tilting on the evening of July 27, 2026, after an overhang above the second-floor balcony collapsed following rains.
Police carried out a rescue operation and safely evacuated all occupants, including an elderly woman with a spinal injury.
The area around the building has been cordoned off and neighbours advised to stay away.
Locals said they had earlier complained to authorities about the condition of the roughly 30-35 year old building but claimed no action was taken.
